If you are living with pain that hasn’t responded to rest, medication, or physiotherapy — you are not out of options. Dr. Ichcha Muku is a Pain Management Consultant based in Gurugram who helps patients find lasting relief through accurate diagnosis and advanced, minimally invasive treatments — without surgery, and without lifelong dependence on painkillers.

Dr. Ichcha specializes in ultrasound and fluoroscopy-guided interventional procedures — meaning every injection is placed with real-time imaging for maximum accuracy and safety. Her procedural repertoire includes:
· Nerve blocks — targeted injections that interrupt pain signals from specific nerves
· Epidural injections — transforaminal, caudal, and interlaminar approaches for spine-related pain
· Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) — uses controlled heat energy to disable specific pain-carrying nerves, providing months to years of relief
· Cryoablation — uses extreme cold to achieve similar nerve disruption with a different mechanism, suitable for specific conditions
· Facet joint injections and medial branch blocks — for pain arising from the spinal facet joints, common in chronic back and neck pain
· Sacroiliac joint (SIJ) injections — for lower back and buttock pain originating from the SI joint
· Sacrococcygeal joint and ganglion impar blocks — for tailbone pain and pelvic pain
· Joint injections — shoulder, knee, and other peripheral joints
· Trigger Point Injections
· Orthobiologics (PRP/BMAC) — using the body’s own growth factors for tendon, ligament, and joint conditions
What are non-surgical interventional pain management treatments?
Interventional pain treatments are advanced, minimally invasive procedures designed to disrupt pain signals at their source. Instead of open surgery or relying on lifelong painkillers, we use real-time imaging (like ultrasound or fluoroscopy) to precisely deliver therapies. These include epidural injections for spine pain, radiofrequency ablation (RFA) to safely deactivate pain-carrying nerves, nerve blocks, and regenerative orthobiologics (PRP).
Do I need to be hospitalized for these chronic pain procedures?
No, the vast majority of interventional pain management procedures are performed on an outpatient basis. Because they are minimally invasive and require no major incisions, they are highly safe and done under local anesthesia. Patients typically spend a short time in the recovery room for monitoring and are able to walk out and return home the exact same day.
Do I need a referral from another doctor to visit a pain specialist?
No, a formal referral is not mandatory to book an appointment. While many of my patients are referred by orthopedicians, neurologists, or general physicians who recognize that a case requires advanced non-surgical intervention, you can consult us directly. If you have been experiencing persistent pain for over three to six months, or if standard treatments haven’t provided relief, you can schedule a consultation directly for a comprehensive evaluation.
